Living My Spiritual Truth

November 9, 2016 and the election is over!  I have been looking forward to this day for quite a few weeks now.  When I was younger and less fully aware of my Spiritual self, I allowed myself to be caught up in activism, politics, and the heavy emotions that ensue from such a commitment.  As I have grown older and woken up to Spirit, I mostly have tended to be an onlooker. This election was different. I allowed myself to be caught up in the divisiveness of this third dimensional process. I partook in the negativity and the emotion - especially in the last few months of the election cycle. I really wanted HER to win the election and I really wanted HIM to shuffle off into some type of obscurity.  I was not in my Spiritual integrity.

So, now, it seems as if the world has been turned upside down.  Of course, that is an illusion. This is all an illusion. The only thing that is not illusion is our Oneness with God.  I have allowed myself to forget that we are ALL sparks of the Divine, no matter how we act in the world as three dimensional human beings. And to that end, I now set my intention toward living my Spiritual Truth.  Despite how things appear to us in the right now, I stand for living in the Loving and holding the space for all to realize the time for separation and divisiveness has outlived any usefulness it may have ever served.

As an old folkie, I resonated and still did resonate with the wisdom of the late Pete Seeger, who wrote, "Turn, Turn, Turn" based on Ecclesiastes 3. And I truly believe the words of that song are as pertinent right now as they were when they were written.  I currently think they bear a look at right now in this season of divisiveness in the world:

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, a time to reap that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;

A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

My intention is to shine my Light on the parts of the season that bring us together, build us up, and allow us to know when it is time to be silent (in negativity) and speak up (in unity).  May the Love and Light of the Divine shine through us all and brighten the darkness!  Namaste!!
