A Facebook Challenge

I joined Facebook several years ago at the suggestion of my daughter who proposed it as a way to keep up with my grandchildren.  In addition to keeping up with my growing family I have reconnected with scores of people with whom I lost touch over the years and for this, I am quite grateful.  I do, however, find many people are using social media as a means of public communication.  The communication is frequently very helpful, amusing, or down right funny. However, a day does not go by when I do not experience the energy of mass hysteria.  I read or hear posts exhorting about moral, political, and social problems.  Day after day, month after month.

In the duality of our physical lives, we really only have Love or Fear.  The Fear I experience in social media has many names but it is really just Fear.  The Facebook posts I read run the gamut of complaints about our president, complaints about the Republicans, complaints over health care, complaints about illegal immigrants, and now complaints about disease.  Much energy is expended complaining, blaming, and accusing.  To what end?  Aside from venting the energy of fear, is anything really changed?

The energy of the world we live in today is very challenging to those living in Fear.  But it is not just happening now.  Historically, we have never existed apart from challenging times, which lead to fear, to war, to hunger, and even to near extinction of the world as it was known.  Remember world history?  To those who turn to their bibles, maybe it is time to revisit the passages when God's wrath created upheaval in the world.  If we really take a look, we will find comparable instances and similarities to our current situation.  The only difference is that we are experiencing the illusion of upheaval instead of our ancestors.

I believe it is time for all to really go inward.  Take a look at our religious or spiritual beliefs.  Measure our beliefs about Jesus, Buddha, God, or whichever Divine Being with which we resonate against how we are reacting to current events.  In Spirit, the only energy that exists is Loving.  If the actions we take come from a place of Fear then we are not serving the greater good.  If we are not part of the solution, we are part of the problem.  I challenge any and all who feel they must do something, please do something that promotes Love and Loving!  Blessed Be!!!

Namaste.

Time Keeps On Slipping, Slipping Into The Future - No It's Not!

Well, I figured out long ago that there is no time or space in Spirit and now I am actually living in that no time or space dimension.  I have been aware of this time-less-ness for quite a while but have not really considered the fact that it is a "place" or more accurately "state" of being.

First, a catch up.  I spoke at the Brigade of Light in Fort Wayne and it went just as it should.  I think it is more appropriate to say that Spirit spoke through me, but, either way, all went well.  I am frequently aware of Spirit (God) speaking through me but I have never really owned it publicly.  Or at least, I cannot recall if I have.

Last weekend I shared with  my spiritual group that I really do know a lot, that this knowing has led to my going into my Ego, and thus interfered with my spiritual path.  I also shared that I hesitate to share what I know because I don't want to appear as though I am in my Ego.  Hmmmm, wonder whether or not that is because I have been in my Ego.  Hah!  Spirit does like to play tricks, doesn't It?

Sharing this realization opened things up quite a bit this week.  I am now consciously aware that I spend most of my unoccupied "time" or being-ness, in the spirit realms (aka 5th dimension) in one sense or the other.  One recent development I notice is I will "lose" an object, search and search the house or car for the lost object, the object is gone to the point where I just release it, and then it turns up exactly where I had looked for it.  Instead of thinking I am going crazy, I realize that the lost object and I just have not been in the same dimension for that period of time.

Another interesting realization is an awareness that time does not seem to exist for me now even when I am "in the world".  I was working on Tuesday and was certain all day that it was Saturday.  I frequently have to stop and think what day of the week it is and my days pretty much run into each other.  Another time in my less "conscious" life, I would have become increasingly worried about such an incident.  Especially since dementia and Alzheimer's are part of my family medical history.  In truth, though, I believe my mother (the most recent Alzheimer's patient in my family) and I really are going through similar things, but she is not consciously aware of that which is moving in and through her spiritually.

As I release more and more of the world, I find I know more and more of Spirit.  That is my Present, as I have no Past or Future...

Namaste!

A New Age

I am now in Fort Wayne, IN and settled close to spiritual family, geographically closer to blood family, and winding my way along my path.  Been here about 2.5 years working my meditation, attending classes at the Fort Wayne ILM Center, stumbling, growing, making my way home.  For some reason, I am feeling called to step forward in my Spiritual life and am going to speak at The Brigade of Light on Sunday.

This seemingly has been prompted by the approach of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the Jewish High Holidays. My relationship with religion and celebrating holidays has been quite ambivalent.  I never really "clicked" with the idea that religion was my connection to connecting with God.  At worst, being Jewish and celebrating holidays meant hours in synagogue listening to and attempting to pray in a language I did not understand.  For hours.  At best, it meant meals with dishes specific to my Eastern European, Ashkenazi ancestry.  It also meant we did not celebrate any of the Christian holidays, have a Christmas tree, or Christmas stockings.  As an adult this hasn't been much of a big deal to me, but as a kid it bordered on horrible.

As I think of the High Holidays every year, first thing that comes to mind is I have to either ask or Google when they are since the Jewish calendar is a lunar calendar and the months/days are different. Then I think about the fact that I have come to believe that there is holiness in everyday life, so why limit celebrating at a specific, appointed time?  Then I pretty much forget about it until the next time somebody brings up a holiday - and we have plenty of them, most of which I am not really all that familiar!  So, this year, I decided to be different.

In classes I have taken at the ILM Center this year, and at a retreat last May, I am learning  there are deeper, more mystical meanings to the "religious" writings and stories.  So I started thinking maybe the same can be said about the holidays.  Not just the surface, Rosh Hashanah is the New Year and Yom Kippur the Day of Atonement, but what might this really mean on a deeper more spiritual level. I researched the meaning of those days to confirm that I actually do know what they mean to the Jewish people.  I checked the Chabad website hoping for a more mystical viewpoint, since the Hasidim are the closest I can imagine to modern day Jewish mystics and the Chabad website comes from the Lubavitcher Hasidic community.

I was slightly disappointed to discover mention of God as a separate entity since I do not, so I researched further, checking to see if there was anything written by or about the "father of Hasidism",  Rabbi Yisroel ben Eliezer, The Baal Shem Tov who lived in the 18th century.  Baal Shem Tov is a title that can be translated at least two different ways: Good Master of the Name, meaning one who "owns the holy name" and is connected with the Divine, or "one who has a good reputation in the community." After reading some of the stories connected with him, I choose to go with the first meaning.  After reading stories surrounding Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, I am able to infer, for myself, deeper, more mystical meanings to these holidays that up until now really were fairly meaningless to me.  So, now I know what I am going to share about holiness and holidays on Sunday.

Namaste.

If Time/Space Existed, It Would Be A Long Time....

Apparently, I haven't been blogging for quite a while. When I logged into this blog, my first thought was - "it's really been a long time", and yes, that is true. But only when we believe that time and space as known in the third dimension truly exists.

So, in actuality, I logged in to blog just at the right time. Yes, I guess I still have an attachment to that word...

My life, both physical and spiritual, have been very active. Learning lots of lessons. Spirit called me to leave Colorado Springs and move closer to both my Spiritual and biological families. I chose to settle in Fort Wayne in order to be more connected to the spiritual family but am within reasonable distance from the biological family as well. So far, so good.

I am getting the message that the blog has been quiet because I have been in a much more inward place - meditating, going inward and upward as I am urged by my Spiritual teachers. The more I do this, the less I want to be in the world. Which is nice. Except....

Except, I find myself now at a place of wrestling with the Inner Truth of why I am here. And, it is not easy. Of course, why would it be easy? That would defeat the purpose. We come into our lives to accomplish the purpose set out for our by our Souls and that is pretty deep, intense stuff. So, naturally, it isn't going to be easy.

As I wrestle with this now, I am reviewing my life. Seeing the pattern that repeats and repeats and repeats. It isn't fun. It isn't pretty. Life isn't for cowards. My intention is to be heal this and not have to repeat it anymore, ever again.

Now, back to time and space...At the core, I am learning that the struggles we deal with are illusions of time and space and being incarnated in a physical being. Without time and space, we are able to connect to the essence of our beings, with our Divine Sparks, and witness the struggle, release the attachment to it, and live in God's Loving. And, in this life, my intention is to be there.
